Fall Happenings

I really do love this time of year. We have been keeping pretty busy around here with school and schedules and pumpkins festivals. This past week was pretty uneventful, but kept us busy. It rained most of the week, so we spent most of our evenings at home, inside, trying to keep the kids from going crazy.

This past weekend was really busy. Friday evening, we cleaned the school while the kids ran around making more messes throughout the entire school. It was great. But overall it went well, and only took us a couple of hours.

On Saturday, John had to shoot a wedding all day, so the kids and I had the entire day to ourselves. I took them to the Library in the morning for story time, songs, and crafts. They loved it! They also got to bring their stuffed animals in, and the stuffed animals stayed and spent the night. When we went and picked them up today, the librarian had taken pictures of the stuffed animals playing throughout the library, and they gave them to us with the animals. Emma thought it was pretty funny and enjoyed the whole experience.

After the library, we came home for lunch and naps, and then headed to the Stampede Home Opener game. Jim and Barb joined us, and we all had a really good time. It was also free jersey giveaway to the first 1000 kids, and both kids got one. So it was a good night. We left during the 3rd period since it was already 9:30 pm. and the Stampede ended up losing 4-2. But we all had a great time!

Today was a typical Sunday. First we went to church and Sunday School, and then we went to Tuthill Park and let the kids play on the playground and took some family photos of the kids in the park. It was a beautiful afternoon to spend outside with the family, and I think we even got some cute pictures of the kids. We spent the afternoon mowing lawn and cleaning the house, and then John took the kids to Jim and Barb's to have supper and play on the farm. I stayed home to finish a little cleaning and just enjoy a quiet house for a couple hours.

Emma doesn't have school for the next three days, so I also have those days off, and am planning some fun days for her and I. It should be a great week!!
