We have been pretty busy lately with graduation programs, softball, Emma's soccer games and practice, and just the regular hustle and bustle.
Our Bethel softball team has been doing pretty well. We are 3-1 on the season. We have had some terrible weather for softball, but overall it's been really fun. I am also playing with my Steakout team this year, but they play on the same night as Bethel, so I am only able to make it to some of the games.
This past weekend, we headed to Minnesota on Friday night. We got to my parent's house around 8:30pm and enjoyed a nice, quiet evening with the parents while the kids played. On Saturday, Ryan, John and I headed to the cities for the Twin's game. We got $5 tickets a while ago through a promotion the Twins were having, and the fields were still too wet to plant, so we were all able to go to the game.
It was a gorgeous afternoon for baseball. We had standing room only tickets, so we basically wandered around and watched the game from some different angles throughout the whole game. We also ate some (expensive) lunch at Bat and Barrel, which is a sit-down restaurant inside Target Field. It was a pretty cool experience.
The Twins are doing really awesome this year as well. They are currently 20 games above 500, and leading the majors in wins, homeruns, and many other categories. They are really fun to watch this year. They won their game 8-1, and we all had a really good time at the game.
After we got home, the fields were dry enough to plant, so the guys went to go do some field work, while the rest of us just enjoyed the nice weather on the farm.
Today was another gorgeous day. The guys were in the field again, so Mom and the rest of us headed to Ramsey Park to let the kids play and just enjoy the weather. Everyone had a really good time playing, hiking, looking at waterfalls, and looking at all the animals.
After the park, we ate lunch at a Mexican Restaurant in Redwood Falls with mom, before heading back to Sioux Falls. We got home in the afternoon, and have been outside mowing, playing, having a campfire, and riding bike since we got home. It's been a great Memorial Day weekend so far!
