Well, I am a married woman. I don't think it had fully sunk in yet, and I have been married 11 days already!!!
First of all, I couldn't be happier. I married my best friend, my other half, my support system, and the love of my life. It amazes me that I have only known John for 41/2 years because it seems like he has been in my life forever.
I am very happy to be done planning a wedding. For those of you still planning a wedding, enjoy it, because it is a fun process. But I am not going to miss calling vendors and worrying about all the details.
I held up very well the week of my wedding. The most stressful part was the couple of days before the wedding when my mom, my future husband, and I were trying to finish up last minute tasks and get decorations done. The Thursday before my wedding was the day where we really got things done. We decorated the church, got our supplies to the people decorating the reception hall, and we pretty much had everything finished by Thursday evening.
Friday was my day to relax. My bridesmaids and I went to New Ulm, Minnesota for manicures and pedicures. And of course to sip champagne while being pampered. I really enjoyed this treatment and I think everyone else had a good time with it as well.
Later on Friday we had to head to the church for the rehearsal at the church. Needless to say, it was a little warm in the old country church with no air conditioning. However, it was exciting as it was a preview of what was going to happen the next day. We ran through the ceremony twice so everyone could practice walking up and down the isle and so that my future husband and I knew what to do the next day. We were in the church for about an hour and half running through the ceremony. Here are some pictures of the rehearsal.
So the setting up and the rehearsal went very well. After the rehearsal we had a groomsmen supper grill out on my parent's farm. I am dedicating my next blog to the groomsmen supper and how that went. And of course I will have a wedding day blog coming up as well. So stay tuned. Thanks for reading!!
