Summer continues to fly by! Emma starts school in three weeks from today, that is crazy!! We actually have our school shopping done already, and Emma is super excited about everything.
This past week has been more of the same around here. We have been keeping busy with work, softball, and playing with the kids in the evenings. Our biggest change around here, is we have started some serious potty training with Elliott. He actually has been wearing underwear during the day, and usually only as one or two accidents a day, so we are super excited about that! We try to get him on the toilet every 1.5 hours or so, and usually he does really well. He gets one skittle for going pee in the potty, and two skittles if her poops in the potty, and so far so good with that. Our next major hurdle is getting Eli in a big-boy bed, maybe this weekend we will shop for one.
This past weekend was the State Softball Tournament. We actually did pretty well, and we went 4-2 for the tournament, and got third place at State. We were pretty excited about that and had a really good day. The weather was nice, the games were fun, and it was a pretty fun weekend overall. I am still sore from playing so many games in such a short time, but it was worth it.
John spent a lot of time with the kids while I was playing softball. He took them to the zoo on Saturday, and then pretty much just played at home the rest of the weekend with them. It sounded like everyone had a good time.
Tuesday evening was our League Tournament. We won it all last year, but this year we lost out to Bigs. John and the kids came to watch and had a good time on a beautiful evening, but we couldn't pull out a win. It was a great season, I had a lot of fun, and I look forward to Fall Ball.
That's really all that is new around here. Fair season is gearing up, and the Sioux Empire Fair starts on Friday, which should be fun. Also, Jill and Peg are coming for a visit soon, which will be a really good time. And our Vacation is just around the corner. Yes!
