Hawaii Day 2

Our first full day on Maui! We started our day with a welcome breakfast at out hotel where the staff welcomed us by singing a couple Hawaiian tunes. We also were treated to a free breakfast and tips on what to do on the island. After breakfast we went exploring to see the ocean and whatever beautiful site we came across. Here are a couple that we found.

 After doing some exploring, we went to Whaler's Village, which is an outdoor shopping mall. John got a pair of sunglasses and a Maui t-shirt and I got a couple t-shirts. The stores were fun to talk through, especially because there were really expensive stores like Gucci and New York and Co.

Next we headed to Lahaina to do some souviner shopping. We stopped at Cool Cats, which is known for its burgers-and it was very good. John and I split a burger since they were $12 each, not including fries and a drink. They are also well known for their special BBQ sauce, which was awesome!

After shopping, we decided to test out the ocean. It was a very windy day, and the water was very rough. We got our butts kicked by the huge waves! We had a blast though. After getting beat up in the ocean we decided to go try out our hotel pool and then squeeze in some suntanning.

Finally, it was time to do to the magic show we had booked earlier in the day. We cleaned up, and then headed to the magic show. This show included a 3 course meal, free mai-tais, hula dancing, a history of the island, and a magician. All in all, it was good entertainment and wonderful food. Both John and I were asked to come on stage to assist with different part of the show.

By the time the show was over (about 8:00 pm) we were ready for bed! Remember, there is a 5 hour time difference, we were still suffering from jet lag. We went to bed exhausted and excited for out sailing trip the next day. Thanks for reading!!!
