Weekend Fun :)

Whew, I am a little behind on blogging, so let me catch up a little. Last weekend, Friday was the start of my vacation! I had a really bad Thursday night at work, like I was there literally all night, so I spent Friday sleeping most of the day, and then John, Emma, and I headed out to Wild Water West.

Avera McKennan sponsors a weekend for their employees, and last weekend was that weekend. The weather was not the nicest on Friday, but it was really our only chance to take advantage of the low prices at Wild Water West, so we gave it a chance.

It was a big mistake. It was rainy, cloudy, and windy, and only hovering around 70 degrees. Emma had a blast for the first 20 minutes, and then after that the poor girl was frozen. We took a lot of breaks, wrapped her up in towels, had an ice cream treat, and headed back in the water. Her lips were a slight tinge of blue by the time we finally gave up.

It was a complete fail, and we all froze our butts off, but we did have some fun at least :) And we have the rest of the summer to get back there and try it again.

 On Saturday, we had a lazy day at home. We spent the morning cleaning the house so that it would be nice and clean when we got back from our vacation. In the afternoon, we went to the park and played. We wrapped up our day with dinner at Chevy's with Jenny and Katie. It was a great weekend!
